Messages of remembrance

Christine Aylmore (née Percival) November 6 2018 11:47AM

For a grandfather I didn't know I would like to say thank you for your sacrifice. William Thomas Percival died at the Dardanelles 1915 weeks after arriving. Gallipoli is a name that will never be forgotten.

Not only did he leave behind his wife Ethel and two children. He left behind five children from his first marriage to Florence who died in Burma  where he was stationed with the army prior to 1910. The names of the children are Florence, Arthur, William, James and George. He left a legacy that lives on through his children, and their children.

In loving memory of William from your Granddaughter Christine  daughter of George (Australia ) in this year of the 100th Anniversary of the ending of WW 1. Lest we Forget.

My son Samuel and I were privileged enough to attend the 100 year Anniversary at the Cenotaph in London. A day we will both never forget.
