Adam Millar

Died: 30 July 1918

Adam Millar was born in Paisley in 1899. In September 1914 he went to work for Commercial Bank of Scotland as an apprentice at its Paisley branch.

During the First World War Millar left the bank to join the army, becoming a Private in the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders. He was killed in action in France on 30 July 1918.

Maybe we were distantly related? Tragic, he was only 18/19 and killed so close to the end of the war. RIP.

Adam Millar is my great, great uncle. I believe there is a memorial plaque in Edinburgh, perhaps in the RBS building at St Andrews Sq. I was wondering if this is where it is located as struggling to find out online and would like to visit it.
