Albert Adolphe Boucher was born in Twickenham in 1896, the son of Adolphe Boucher, a photographer, and his wife Françoise. He was educated at St Aloysius' College, Highgate, London. In around 1914 he went to work for Parr's Bank at its head office in Bartholomew Lane, London.
During the First World War Boucher joined the army, serving in the King's Shropshire Light Infantry. At the time of his death he was attached to the Trench Mortar Battery.
Second Lieutenant Albert Adolphe Boucher died on 16 October 1916 of wounds received in action in France. He was 19 years old.
